History
This versatile herb which has a soothing warming effect aids digestive and menstrual problems as well as nervous and respiratory complaints. It was a very popular herb amongst the Greeks and was widely used in medicine and perfumes. In the 16 century, it was strewn on the floor to mask unpleasant smells.
