Lavandin Super essential oil has a sweet, floral herbaceous aroma with balsamic woody undertones. It has a more floral scent compared to spike lander. Stimulating, energising and clearing, Lavandin is often used to clear mental fog, relieve anxiety and to warm and loosen stiff muscles after sport.
- Latin Name
- Lavandula angustifolia X L. latifolia
- Lamiaceae (Labiatae)
- Essential oil by steam distillation from the flowering tops.
- Linalyl acetate, linalol, cineol, camphene, pinene among others.
Lanvandin is developed by crossing lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) with lavender spike (Lavandula Latifolia). It normally grows larger than the true lavender and may produce blue flowers like true lavender or greyish flowers like aspic, it also has a higher yield of oil than true lavander or aspic.
Lavandin does not have a long history, its properties seem to combine those of True Lavender and Aspic.
