Thyme essential oil is a clear, pale liquid with a sweet green, fresh, milder scent than Red Thyme. A highly penetrating oil, it is an easy breather, helping to unblock respiratory passages and support the body’s systems during viral infections. Also known to be good for cellulitis and sports injuries.

This evergreen perennial shrub can grow up to 45 cm in height, with a woody root system, much-branched stem, small elliptical greenish gray aromatic leaves and pale purple or white flowers.
One of the earliest medicinal plants employed throughout the Mediterranean region. The ancient Greeks used it to fumigate against infectious illness and as incense in their temples . It was also used by the ancient Egyptians in the embalming process.
