Rosemary essential oil has a strong, fresh and herbaceous aroma with a woody, balsamic undertone. Rosemary is a highly stimulating oil known for its energising and stimulating qualities. Often used in sports massage to stimulate and warm sore muscles and as an aid to concentration and mental fatigue.

This evergreen aromatic bush can grow up to 2 metres in height, has silver-green needle shaped leaves and light blueish/lilac flowers.

History

One of the earliest plants to be used for food and medicines. The Romans, Egyptians, Hebrews and Greeks considered this herb as sacred and even in the Middle Ages it was used to ward off evils spirits and used as a protection against the plague and infectious illness. It was also burnt in French hospitals during epidemics.
