Lavender Bulgarian essential oil has a refreshing aroma with a sweet floral herbaceous scent and a balsamic woody undertone. It has a more fragrant floral scent compared to spike lavender. An excellent relaxing oil and generally regarded as the most versatile essential oil. It is widely used in aromatherapy for its relaxing, calming and skin soothing properties.

This evergreen woody shrub grows to around a meter in height, has green narrow leaves with violet-blue flowers and is highly aromatic.
Lavender has been used extensively in herbalism for many years. The essential oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, known to relieve toothache, neuralgia, rheumatism among many other ailments. It has been used as an insect repellant and was used in hospitals during the first world war to disinfect floors and walls.
